DURHAM WEST LIGHTNING JR 2020-2021

Sophie looks forward to:

  • Bringing her competitive nature to the team
  • Helping motivate the team and use her ability to boost everyone’s mood
  • Playing with this talented group of girls and becoming a championship team. She was impressed with the improvements and adjustments everyone made as a team so quickly within the first few weeks
  • Creating new bonds with the many girls, she did not know or may not have played with previously
  • Having the opportunity to be a leader on our team
  • The long-awaited official start to our season
  • Continuing to get to know everyone while making new memories of her last year of minor hockey

GOALS & PLANS

Sophie’s focus is to graduate from Queen’s University while playing OUA hockey.  In her time at Queen’s University, she hopes to help them win an OUA & U Sports Championship. After she graduates in 2025, she plans on completing a post-graduate degree.

Along with all her plans and accomplishments, she envisions herself growing into the woman her parents spent a lifetime supporting and creating. She looks forward to taking all the skills and experiences she will gather and set new goals for herself that will continue to make her parents proud.
