It was a successful Stoney Creek University Showcase tournament for the Durham West Junior Lightning. During round-robin play, the Jr. Lightning defeated Minnesota 8-0, St. Mary’s 8-0, Chicago Mission 4-2, and Edge Academy 4-1. On Sunday, the Juniors recorded wins against John Abbott 4-1 and Whitby 2-1.
The Jr. Lightning finished the tournament with a 6-0-0 record and captured the 2022 Stoney Creek University Showcase Silver Championship.
